Mompreneur Talk: Why I Created Mealhey?

I didn’t set out to start a company.
I set out to solve a problem — one that stared at me every school morning.

As a mother, I’ve packed countless lunchboxes over the years. Like many parents, I’ve faced the usual worries:

Is this lunch nutritious enough?
Will she eat it?
Is it still fresh by lunchtime?
Am I doing this right — every single day?

Some mornings, I managed. Other mornings, I scrambled. But every day, I wished there was a better way.
A way that felt like home… even when my kid were far from it.

That’s how Mealhey was born.

From My Kitchen to Yours

Mealhey is not a business idea that came from a boardroom.
It came from a lunchbox, a prayer, and a mother’s instinct.

I wanted:

Meals that were clean, safe, and hygienic
Food that was cooked with care, not preservatives
Recipes that balanced nutrition and familiarity
A service that parents could trust — and children could enjoy

I realized I wasn’t alone. So many working parents, single parents, grandparents — were all silently struggling with the same thing: How to feed their child well during school hours without stress.

Why the Name “Mealhey”?

The word “Mealhey” combines “Meal” and “Hey!” — a friendly nudge, like a mother’s voice saying:

“Hey! Don’t forget your lunch.”
“Hey! Eat well.”
“Hey! I’ve got you.”

Because behind every lunch is a loudly silent love story. And that’s what we deliver, every single day.
